First make sure it is assembled correctly:

If the handle of your chute is not lined up like the one in this picture dig out your manual and fix it. Click on the picture for a larger view. If you can’t find your manual you can read it at http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals. Your model number is at the back of your snow blower, in the bottom right hand corner. It will start with 247.
