I bought a new Snowmaster 824 QXE in 2023. The Chute Rod is only 22.5 inches and seems too short to fully seat in the chute to turn it side to side. Does anyone know if there is a longer version?

I have a Deluxe 28 transmission giving me trouble how come I can’t find parts to fix the auto turn. Disappointing cost over $200. Don’t know why I have this problem right now pulling only with the right wheel.

Hi Paul,

Boston area 2 car ~ 100 ft slightly sloped driveway plus 30×40 parking pad all asphalt. Id like something with good clearing speed and the power to do the end of driveway pile. Don’t mind spending for a premium unit. A few I’m looking at:
Toro Powermax 1428
Ariens Pro 28
Ariens Deluxe 30 EFI
Do the first two offer enough to justify the additional cost. Open to other suggestions. Thanks for your comments.

In reply to Paul. Hi Paul, I typically have my 400 square-foot driveway, plus I like to go over the lawn around my house for about 140 linear feet about 2 feet wide. So a total of maybe 680 square feet. The gas version seems so eager to chew up the snow in short order, that I am surprised it doesn’t get out of the garage and do the whole job by itself, while I am still eating breakfast! It would be great if the battery version could compete with it. Thanks for your expertise and neighborly advice. David
