In reply to JASON. Jason, for a gravel drive I'd look more towards a tracked snowblower vs tires. The skinny bucket supports on tire machines will dig in and you'll be throwing a lot of rocks.

In reply to JASON. Hi Jason, You may also want to consider the Ariens Deluxe 28. It has the same performance and snow handling capabilities are the Toro. Hi Jason, All three are decent choices.
1. The Toro will be the best choice just because it’s a little wider so you can get done a little faster on that long driveway. It will also handle the wet/heavy snow you sometimes get better than the other two. It will be faster because it has a larger engine and the automatic steering makes it the easiest to use. The LED light is very bright.
2. The Cub Cadet and the Troy-Bilt have the same capacity. The Cub Cadet has power steering nice lights for night work.
3. The Troy-Bilt is the cheapest because it does not have power steering. If you have someone else smaller than you who will be using it they may have problems turning it.

Paul, this is an awesome review board! Do you have a recommendation for east coast snow in and around NY? We are 30 miles outside of the city so not the same as upstate snow. I was looking at the Storm 2860, Cub 2 x 26 and Toro Power Max HD 828 which is a little over my budget. What do you suggest? Long (100’+ gravel driveway). Thank you!

In reply to Ben. If you want to throw snow a long way the Ariens Deluxe, Ariens Platinum, and Toro PowerMax HD snow blowers are the best choice. They have 14-inch impellers/augers so they can handle all the snow you get including the wet, heavy stuff, and throw it off your driveway.

In reply to Ryan. Hi Ryan, It's now the 2X 30 MAX. The only thing different is it now has a 357cc instead of the 420cc. In my opinion, that's a good thing. The 420cc was a little too much power for the single impeller belt. Performance-wise the 357cc is plenty.

Thanks Paul long and partially wide (3-car) flat driveway. Snow is inconsistent but we do get occasional heavy snowfall. Current Troybilt 2860 does ok with dry snow but the inconsistent snow doesn’t thow far at all. Wish I’d gone bigger.
