Pros:

This unit has a specific use – to replace your snow shovel.  It’s faster than shoveling, easier, and requires a lot less work.

If you have a weight restriction, (you can only lift 20 lbs) and can still go outside in the cold, this is will allow you to shovel your own snow.

Cons:

You need to drag a cord around as you use it.  I recommend no more than 100′ of 14 gauge extension cord.

In reality, it only throws snow a few feet.  It will clear your steps and sidewalks well, but don’t expect it to throw the snow over anything higher than three feet.

Summary:

A few years ago I owned a house that had a small front porch, a couple of front steps and about 50 feet of sidewalk in the Chicago area.  I owned an older version of this power shovel and it did a good job of clearing 4 inches or less of snow.  A lot of the snow we got was heavy and wet and the power shovel was much faster and easier than using a regular snow shovel.
