For models not listed here go to the Sears PartsDirect website.  This is the same website as the Sears associate in your local Sears uses to order parts.

You will not get your parts faster or cheaper by going to a Sears Store!

Once you are at  Sears PartsDirect type in the model number off the nameplate.  The nameplate is usually located on the back right-hand corner of your snow blower.  The number you need looks like 123.123456. Current model Craftsman’s all start with 247.

I’ve been spending a great deal of time reviewing the newest snowblowers but what about all of you who are going to keep the one you have one more year?  In the next few articles I’ll go through the most common ways to get parts for your snow thrower.

Craftsman Snow Thrower Parts

You can get a few parts like skid shoes from third party sources but in reality if you need a part for your Craftsman you have to go to Sears.com to get the parts.  Just click on this link sears.com once there click on the parts tab, type in your model number and you can look up your part and order it right there.

Don’t forget to order your extra shear pins for your Craftsman or MTD snow thrower.  I know from experience if you wait until you break one there won’t be any available.  Craftsman has two stock numbers for the same shear pin.  Either unit will work on any model that starts with 247.

These shear pins will also fit the current model Troy-Bilt, MTD, Yardman, Cub Cadet and other snow blowers made by MTD.

Finding you Model Number:(The silver nameplate on the frame of the snowblower has the model number of the unit.  The number looks like 247.123456.  The first three digits tells you who made the snowblower for Sears and the last five or six tell you the model number)

Just to give a little incentive to get your shear pins now.  I know the Sears store where I shop sold over 400 snow throwers last year.  An they only carry six packages of shear pins in the store at a time!!!!!   Get them NOW!
