My Opinion:

The 1332PE has a metal discharge chute and a 4 quart fuel tank, otherwise there is nothing special about this machine. In my opinion the Craftsman professional snow blower is a better machine. The Craftsman is bigger all around, heavier, wider, more power and a better value. This Deere snow blower does have a cast iron auger gearcase and electric chute control. This Deere snowblower does have a good reputation from the owners, but is it worth an additional $500 over the Craftsman Professional 357 cc 33 inch 2 Stage Snow Thrower Model 88835?

What is really interesting to me is the Craftsman has a 90 day no questions, return policy…….the John Deere is not eligible for the 30 day John Deere Promise (30 day money back guarantee)

Craftsman has in-home service available for their product. It is unclear from the literature if John Deere will repair your snow blower at your home.

My Opinion:

The 1130E has a metal discharge chute and a 4 quart fuel tank, otherwise there is nothing special about this machine. From what information I can get from my local John Deere dealer this machine’s “easy steer” is nothing more than a differential instead of power steering. In my opinion the power steering on Craftsman snow blower is much easier to use on this large of a machine. This size Deere snowblower has a good reputation from the owners, but is it worth an additional $550 over the Craftsman Professional 357 cc 30 inch 2 Stage Snow Thrower Model 88830.

What is really interesting to me is the Craftsman has a 90 day no questions, return policy…….the John Deere is not eligible for the 30 day John Deere Promise (30 day money back guarantee)

The Craftsman is wider, has an extended chute, power steering, poly-tech glide shoes, and a 4-way chute control for a street price of about $400 less.

Specifications:

4-cycle OHV Briggs & Stratton Snow Series Engine (305cc) with 13.50 ft-lbs gross torque power

The John Deere Promise is not available on this product

My Opinion:

The 928E has a metal discharge chute and a 3 quart fuel tank, otherwise there is nothing special about this machine. This size Deere snowblower does not have a good reputation from the owners, particularly because most confuse the “Wheel Lock” with a differential (It’s nothing more than a wheel release so you can turn the machine). It is definitely not worth paying an additional $400 over the Craftsman Model 88791.
