If you want a good snow blower but you don’t want to spend any more money than you absolutely have to there are a few out on the market that will blow snow well, have good repair records and service is fairly easy to obtain. Most of these snow blowers lack the creature-comforts that the more expensive snow blowers have and have very similar features to the snow blower you owned 15 years ago.
This article will go through a few that I have found that may be just the cheap snow blower for you.
I try to keep this article updated and currently the last update is September 2017. If any of the links are broke let me know in the comments below.
Two Deals 🙂 Sears carries other brands besides Craftsman but they are all not as good of a deal as the Craftsmans
Craftsman 88172. 24″ 179cc* Dual-Stage Snowblower
Craftsman 88173. 24-in. 208cc Dual-Stage Snowblower This is still the best value 24 inch snow blower on the market. You can buy a cheaper snow blower but in the long run this is the best deal.
Home Depot has the most cheap snow blowers this year that are worth considering. The Remington is basically a stripped down Cub Cadet and the Poulan Pro is basically a 200 series Husqvarna without all the extra features like power steering and heated hand grips. Both of these brands can be serviced by your local MTD-Cub Cadet or Husqvarna dealer respectively.

Lowes only had one good deal. But it is now gone.
No Deals 🙁 Sam’s has the Poulan Pro 24 and 27 inch models but Home Depot and Amazon have a better price on both.
No deals 🙁 Costco has the Cub Cadet 524 SW for $849. This is $100 more than the 524 SWE (with power steering) anywhere else..
