Ariens® Company Introduces an Industry First! Auto-Turn/Zero-Turn Steering Technology

Ariens Auto-Turn

Snow removal is even easier with this revolutionary new steering feature from Ariens. The Auto-Turn offers maximum control, precise turning and smooth operation. There is no more straining your back or fumbling with triggers to turn your Sno-Thro around. Auto-Turn is just that – Automatic. The Sno-Thro® will turn when and where you want it to with no loss of traction!

Ariens Company just announced for this winter the snow blower industry’s first Auto-Turn™ steering technology. Auto-Turn will be exclusively found on the company’s line of Sno-Thro® snow blowers.

1x1.trans Ariens® Company Introduces an Industry First! Auto Turn/Zero Turn Steering Technology “The revolutionary new Auto-Turn technology changes the snow removal experience without adjusting speed or engaging triggers or levers,” says Angela Raddant, snow product marketing manager for Ariens Company. “The technology is exclusively available on Ariens two-stage Sno-Thro equipment and enables operators to turn effortlessly without adjusting speed.”

Auto-Turn steering makes snow removal faster and easier, for the operator. Auto-Turn steering eliminates the need to take large loops during a turn, instead making even, tight turns from the center axis of the machine. You can actually zero-turn. Now operators can avoid straining and pulling when making a turn, instead steering the snow blower precisely and smoothly without adjusting speed. Auto-Turn saves time and increases maneuverability, while decreasing operator fatigue. No levers or triggers to pull. No cables to adjust or replace. No learning curve to use it.

    • @GreatC, The Automatic Traction Control split (disengaged) the axle when making a turn. You had to pull on a lever to release the ATC. It was easier than power steering on the other brands but you still had to do something to make it work.

Auto-turn is completely effortless. When you go to turn it automatically disengages. It is similar to a posi-traction rear end in a car, but is designed so you can actually zero-turn with the snow blower. It even works when the snow blower is not running.

  1. No, sorry, that isn’t correct. The system you described was on the Deluxe models, and some others as well. The ATC was AUTOMATIC traction control. It’s what is on my 2013 Platinum 30. There are no levers to engage. It works similar (or perhaps the same) as the Aut0-Turn feature on the 2014. However, there must be some differences, as Ariens describes it as “New technology for 2014″. I am trying to determine what that difference is. I can’t seem to find that information anywhere. Thanks again.

  2. Great, thanks. I can’t seem to find out anything about it other than it’s somehow different than the ATC. Would greatly appreciate it if you post back if you find any information. I’ll do the same. Take care.
