Buying off the Internet is really not a new idea. In 1886 anyone with a post office box could order from the Sears catalog and have everything from a cooking pot to an entire house delivered to their door. Today instead of looking through the catalog, filling out a form, mailing the form and then waiting weeks for your item to come in the mail you now can look through an Internet website, order the item and have it shipped right to your door usually within a couple of days.
So what does all that have to do with you trusting me?
I’ve been around the Internet long enough to understand the problems and pitfalls of doing business on it. I’ve seen some really shoddy businesses try to steal your money or rip you off by giving you less than you expected. So the rest of this article will explain the specific vendors I do business with and how you can trust them and me to give you the product you expect.
First, When you purchase a product from me off this website I don’t ACTUALLY have the product. When you click on a link here at movingsnow.com you actually go to the website of the company you are going to buy the product from. In other words you go through me to buy the product from another company. I make a commission from the company you buy the item from AFTER you have received it. That commission is paid by the company to me for providing them with the business (your sale) through this website. My commission is small, but adds up when many of you buy through this site. (This process of building a website and selling you an item through the site is called affiliate marketing)
Second, I have done EXTENSIVE research on the companies I send you to. I only use well established companies I have come to know and trust. For me to use a company it has to have good customer service, a bulletproof shopping cart (the place where you give your credit card number to buy the item) and an easy to use return procedure.
Here is the list of companies I do business with and how you can trust them.
Sears.com
You know Sears. Sears has been around a long as any company out there. Think of their website as the old Sears catalog on steroids. Their website contains tens of thousands more items than you can find in the Sears stores. Many of those items can be shipped to your local store so you can save on shipping. The best thing I like about buying through Sears is if the item you ordered is not what you wanted all you have to is bring it into your local Sears for a refund or exchange.
Northern Tool
“It’s Not About Having the Right Tools for the Job…It’s about finding the right job for the tools. Northern Tool + Equipment is known to carry everything needed to build and repair stuff..” Don Kotula, Founder & CEO
Northern Tool has been around since 1981 and uses catalogs, retail stores, and the Internet to give you all the tools you need around the home. Northern Tool has a very good reputation for great customer service.
eBay
eBay is the place where individuals and businesses can buy and sell just about anything. About half of the items for sale on eBay are sold at auction. For you that means the item is listed for seven days, and the highest bidder receives the item.
When you bid and win the item by being the highest bidder you are obligated to purchase the item. eBay has a lot of safeguards in place to help you get the item you won and for the seller to get their money. One of the best ways I have found to insure a safe and good experience is to set up a PayPal account. PayPal is free to join.
PayPal.com
PayPal is the safe, easy way to pay for goods and services on the web. You can pay without exposing your credit card or bank information to merchants. It also helps you speed through many checkouts because yor shipping information is already filled in for you. It boasts 100 % protection from unauthorized payments and 27/7 monitoring to help prevent fraud. When you use Pay pal in conjunction with eBay you are guaranteed the transaction will be completed to your satisfaction. I’ve been using Paypal for many years and it’s the best “go between” I can find.
I use PayPal whenever possible to pay for anything I buy on the web. On eBay I ONLY buy from sellers that accept PayPal. If they don’t use PayPal I don’t trust them.

Amazon.com
Most people think of Amazon.com as a book seller. In fact you can find just about anything for sale including snow throwers. Think of Amazon as the world’s largest shopping mall. Businesses can list their items for sale through Amazon and you have one central place to shop. A great feature for you is you can find many great deals on otherwise impossible to find new merchandise for sale here. Amazon.com is a safe, easy way to shop.
Popshops or GoldenCan
You may see items listed through Popshops or GoldenCan on this site. These two companies take the item descriptions from companies like Sears, Amazon.com and Northern Tools and convert their information (data) into “feeds” These feeds are in a format that I can easily use to display pictures, and other information on this website (movingsnow.com). You don’t buy from these two companies. They just supply me the data from the business in a computer format that I can use.
That’s the short version of how you can trust me. Feel free to leave comment about the interactions you have had with these companies. If you would like to know more please email me.
